‘I Have Faith’: Central American Migrants Wait to Apply for U.S. Asylum

TIJUANA, Mexico—Nearly 200 Central American migrants planning to ask for asylum in the United States were turned away by U.S. border officials for a second time Monday, after spending Sunday night at a makeshift migrant encampment here.

Members of the caravan of migrants were initially rejected by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials Sunday afternoon, after the agency said it had reached its capacity to process asylum seekers.
